Starting from June 2, 2020, the Consular section of the Embassy resumes the reception of citizens on all consular issues, except for issuing of visas. Access of citizens to the consular section will be carried out in a special regime:
Reception on issues of registration of passports, citizenship, notarization of documents, including obtaining certificates for marriage, will be carried out strictly by appointment.
Reception on the issues of preparing pension documents, certificates of no criminal record, other certificates, obtaining documents, obtaining ready-made documents will be carried out in a live queue from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm.
Before entering the Consular section, the social distance standards (2 meters) established by Botswana law should be observed.
Only one applicant, or two or three people who are members of the same family, is allowed at the reception window if their presence is required for signing documents or an identity card.
Access for accompanying persons to the premises of the consular section is prohibited. An exception may be made only for persons accompanying persons with disabilities and persons with reduced mobility, as well as legal representatives.
If possible, please do not come with the children if their presence is not required for the execution of consular activities.
It is necessary to arrive strictly at the appointed time. In case of being late, the applicant will wait for the end of the reception of the remaining citizens.
If working with your documents will require more time than planned, you may be asked to visit the Consular section again.

In the absence of air traffic, sending documents to Russia and receiving them from Moscow is currently difficult. In this regard, consideration of citizenship issues, registration of passports, and the recovery of documents may occur with a significant delay.
Given the unprecedented situation, motivated applications for the receipt of documents ahead of schedule will be considered only subject to the availability of objective reasons of an emergency nature, documented. Expiration of a residence permit, long waiting in line, the need for marriage, travel on vacation, on vacation, etc. will not be considered as such.
The resumption of acceptance of documents for visas will be announced later.
The reception hours of the consular department, the payment procedure remain unchanged.
Thank you for understanding.
