Born on 1 May 1955.
In 1980 graduated from the Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) of the USSR, 1993 – Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Doctor of History.
Diplomatic service since 1980. Occupied various diplomatic positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR and the Russian Federation in Moscow and abroad:
1987 – 1991 – Embassy of the USSR in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, in the Czech and Slovac Federative Republic;
1995 – 1999 – Embassy of Russia in Switzerland;
2000 – 2003 – Head of Secretariat of Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia;
2003 – 2008 – Consul General of the Russian Federation to the Czech Republic;
2009 – 2014 – Deputy Director of the Department for Compatriots abroad of the Foreign Ministry of Russia.
Since August 2014 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Botswana.
Presented Letters of Credence to the President of Botswana I.Khama on September 29, 2014.
Diplomatic rank: Minister Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the 1st class.
Speaks English, German, French, Czech and Slovac.
Married, has a son and a daughter.
