EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITION “STUDY IN RUSSIA – 2017” in Gaborone
On April 1, 2017 the Educational exhibition “Study in Russia – 2017” was held in Avani Hotel Conference Hall in Gaborone. The event in the capital of the Republic of Botswana organized by Botswana branch of the Russian-African Centre of University Services (RACUS) with support of the Russian Embassy in Botswana was widely advertised in the local media and attracted many young people who are willing to study in Russia.
The official representative of RACUS in Botswana Ms. Elena Molefi informed the visitors of the exhibition that Russian university education gives students a unique chance to choose from more than 500 specialties which are in a great demand all over the world. Among them are medicine, engineering, economics, management, political science, computer science, information technologies and others.
The acting Head of the Consular Section of the Russian Embassy in Botswana Mr. Andrey Kirikov highlighted the opportunities available for high-achieving Botswana students to receive scholarships of the Russian Government to study in Russian universities on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding between our ministries of education signed in June 2016.
Besides the public was informed that in September 2017 Russian capital Moscow was going to celebrate its 870 anniversary. In this connection, the representative of the Russian Embassy demonstrated a short movie prepared by the Government of Moscow about the city highlighting the changes of seasons which was accompanied by Vivaldi’s music.
